Design and Exterior: A Sleek, Futuristic Statement
The new Polestar 4 SUV build on the back of the already loved, award-winning exterior design of the Coupé with its sleek body and powerful stance. It combines POlestar's distinctive design with increased pracicality and SUV versatility. A redesigned rear end provides extra headroom, a larger panoramic glass roof and up to 1,680 litres of storage, while full-length roof rails offer a 100 kg dynamic roof load capacity.
The Polestar 4 SUV also introduces new exterior colours, including Aurora and Ozone, with both available in a Matte finish.
Inside, the minimalist, technology-focused cabin features cosmic-inspired ambient lighting, an upgraded digital interface and sustainable materials.
A Harman Kardon Premium Sound system is also available for that extra premium, bold feel.
Vehicle-to-Load (V2L)
Vehicle-to-Load functionality, coming to all Polestar 4 vehicles, is a bidirectional power feature that enables the vehicle's high-voltage battery to supply AC power to external devices, such as camping equipment, power tools and a wide range of consumer electronics.
The system can deliver up to 3.3 kW (16A, single-phase 230V) of power through a certified charging adapter, available separately through Polestar’s Extras web shop. Users can power external devices until the vehicle reaches a pre-set minimum battery level, configurable via the centre display settings.
Performance
The Polestar 4 SUV comers equipped with a 100 kWh battery, which supports up to 200 kW DC and 22 kW AC charging in selected markets.
The Chassis has been tuned to deliver comfort, refinement and engaging driving dynamics. This makes the SUV suitable for both everyday driving and long-distance journeys.
There is also an option for a performance pack if you like your driving enhanced further. The performance pack adds recalibrated active dampers, Brembo brakes, 22" Performance wheels and Pirelli Zero tyres.
The different powertrains are distinguishable by interior detailing, equipped with Swedish gold seatbelts and controls reserved for the Dual Motor and Performance Pack versions.
Camping Mode & Google Gemini Capabilities
The new Polestar 4 SUV introduces Camping Mode, which turns the parked vehicle into a comfortable, climate-controlled space with access to entertainment, lighting and vehicle controls alongside V2L power and USB-C connectivity.
Google Gemini brings more natural AI-powered voice interaction, understanding context and multi-step requests. It also supports Gemini Live for hands-free trip planning, brainstorming and real-time translation, creating a smarter and more connected driving experience.

The arrival of the SUV gives buyers an interesting choice.
The Polestar 4 Coupé remains the more dramatic and unconventional of the pair, particularly with its distinctive silhouette and camera-based rear-view system.
The SUV, however, takes many of the same ingredients and packages them in a form that could be easier to live with every day.
A bigger boot, improved rear headroom, roof rails and a conventional rear window might not sound as exciting as a sub-four-second 0-62mph time, but they're exactly the sort of changes that could make the difference for someone choosing their next family car.
Add in almost 400 miles of potential range, rapid charging, V2L and some clever new technology, and the Polestar 4 SUV looks set to become an important addition to an increasingly competitive premium electric SUV market.
How big is the Polestar 4 SUV's boot?
One of the biggest reasons for choosing the SUV over the Coupé is likely to be luggage space.
The rear boot provides 530 litres of capacity up to the seatbacks, increasing to 655 litres when measured to the roof.
Fold the 60/40 split rear seats and the available luggage capacity grows to an impressive 1,665 litres.
Factor in the front luggage compartment and Polestar quotes as much as 1,680 litres of storage across the vehicle.
That should make the new model considerably more appealing to families and drivers who like the Polestar 4 but need the flexibility to accommodate luggage, sports equipment, dogs or everything that tends to come with everyday family life.
Sustainability
Low-carbon and recycled materials have been integrated across the vehicle, helping Polestar 4 SUV achieve one of the lowest carbon footprints in the Polestar model lineup. The cradle-to-gate carbon footprint is 21.1 tCO2e for the Dual motor variant and 20.2 tCO2e for Rear motor versions.
The results are driven by targeted reductions in emissions across the battery and aluminium supply chains. Key measures include the use of 100% renewable electricity in battery cell production, aluminium sourced from smelters powered by renewable electricity accounting for 34% of total aluminium content, and 23% recycled aluminium.
Pricing
Polestar 4 SUV starts at £54,750 for Rear motor variants and at £60,750 for Dual motor variants. Polestar 4 SUV with Performance pack is available from £68,250.
All Polestar 4 SUV vehicles are manufactured in Busan, South Korea where production started in the second quarter of 2026. The first customer deliveries are planned for the fourth quarter of 2026.
