Changan Automobile has confirmed that the Deepal S05 compact electric SUV will arrive in the UK in March 2026, expanding its Deepal line‑up alongside the recently introduced Deepal S07. Price and where it sits in the market
The Deepal S05 lands in a busy part of the market, going up against compact family electric SUVs such as the Skoda Elroq, Kia EV5 and MG S5 EV. UK pricing is positioned to look tempting:

That is a key point. At roughly Elroq money, Changan is offering a dual-motor, four-wheel-drive option with a lot of kit included.
Both versions use a 68.8kWh LFP battery. LFP is a battery chemistry that is generally happier being charged to 100% more often than some alternatives, which is useful if you do not have the time (or patience) to baby your battery.
