Petrol-Powered MINI Paul Smith Editions Join the Range

Following the success of the MINI Cooper Electric Paul Smith Edition, MINI is expanding its collaboration with renowned British designer Sir Paul Smith by introducing petrol-powered versions of the special edition model.

The new petrol Paul Smith Edition will be available on the MINI Cooper 3-Door, MINI Cooper 5-Door and MINI Cooper Convertible, with customers able to choose between both Cooper C and Cooper S variants.

The special edition models are offered in three exterior colours, including the exclusive Statement Grey and Inspired White finishes, alongside Midnight Black. The MINI Cooper 3-Door and 5-Door feature a contrasting Nottingham Green roof, while Convertible models can be specified with the iconic Union Jack soft-top roof.

Design

Additional design touches include Nottingham Green mirror caps and detailing that pay tribute to Sir Paul Smith's heritage and distinctive design style.

Inside, the Paul Smith Edition continues to blend MINI's playful character with the designer's signature aesthetic. Highlights include a striped knitted dashboard, matching door panels and seats, Paul Smith signature detailing on the steering wheel, and the handwritten motto "Everyday is a new beginning" on the door sills. A hand-drawn rabbit graphic by Paul Smith also features on the front floor mats.

MINI says the Paul Smith Edition remains true to the designer's "classic with a twist" philosophy, combining unique colour combinations, creative detailing and a strong sense of individuality.

Pricing OTR

Pricing for the petrol MINI Paul Smith Edition starts at £31,285 OTR for Cooper C models and £32,335 OTR for Cooper S variants. First UK customer deliveries are expected during the third quarter of 2026.

MINI One Returns as the Brand's Entry Point

MINI is also reintroducing the MINI One, restoring an affordable entry point into the latest MINI range.

Available on the MINI Cooper 3-Door and MINI Cooper 5-Door, the new MINI One will be offered exclusively in Classic trim. Customers can choose from up to three exterior paint finishes and two wheel designs.

Specification

Standard specification includes Melting Silver paintwork, a body-coloured roof, 16-inch 4-Square Spoke Silver alloy wheels, and a Black/Blue cloth interior. Optional paint choices include Icy Sunshine Blue and Midnight Black, while customers can also select a Grey/Blue cloth interior and larger 17-inch Parallel 2-Tone Spoke alloy wheels.

The optional Level 1 Pack adds equipment such as a head-up display, wireless smartphone charging and High Beam Assistant.

Power comes from a 1.5-litre petrol engine producing 121 hp. MINI claims a 0-62 mph time of 9.3 seconds and a top speed of 127 mph, making the MINI One an accessible option for younger and first-time drivers.

Wider MINI Range Updates Arrive from July 2026

Alongside the new models, MINI has announced a range of product updates aimed at increasing personalisation and enhancing technology across its lineup.

New Exterior Colours

The popular Indigo Sunset Blue paint finish will become available across all trim levels of the MINI Cooper Electric range.

Meanwhile, Blazing Blue will be offered on all petrol-powered MINI models, as well as the MINI Aceman in Classic and Exclusive trims.

Expanded Interior Choices

Customers will gain access to additional interior combinations across several models.

Beige Vescin upholstery paired with a black knitted dashboard and door cards will be available on vehicles specified in Exclusive, Sport and JCW trims.

For the MINI Countryman, Brown Vescin seats combined with a black knitted dashboard and door cards will be offered on both petrol and electric models in Exclusive trim.

MINI Connected Included for Longer

MINI is also enhancing the ownership experience by including MINI Connected services for the first four years after purchase on all Level 2 and Level 3 specified vehicles.

The package includes real-time traffic and congestion information, enhanced navigation visualisations with detailed junction displays and 3D building graphics, plus access to AirConsole gaming and video streaming services while the vehicle is stationary.

New Styling Options

Customers choosing Exclusive trim on petrol-powered MINI Cooper models and the MINI Countryman will now be able to specify a Piano Black grille, adding another layer of visual customisation.

A Broader and More Accessible MINI Line-Up

The latest updates reflect MINI's continued focus on expanding customer choice across its model range. From the stylish and highly personalised Paul Smith Editions to the affordable return of the MINI One and a host of new customisation options, the British brand is ensuring its lineup remains both distinctive and accessible.

With customer deliveries of the new models beginning in the second half of 2026, MINI's refreshed range offers something for first-time buyers, design enthusiasts and loyal MINI fans alike.
