Across Toyota Woven City, new and advanced technology is developed and tested by the residents as part of their day-to-day lives. This means Toyota can receive immediate user feedback and develop improvements that are streamlined and focused.

The community’s Kakezan Invention Hub presents the new-value products and services that are being delivered by the Woven by Toyota’s kakezan approach collaboration that combines the strengths of Toyota and partner businesses and specialists. In there prototypes and product concepts are displayed and explained, prompting feedback and helping accelerate development.

New mobility solutions are being tested across Woven City, including the three-wheeled Swake, autonomous vehicle sharing through Summon Share, and the versatile e-Palette electric vehicle, designed for services ranging from minibuses to mobile shops.

The city is also testing smart infrastructure, AI-powered experiences and personalised environments, including intelligent utility poles, digital vending machines and connected air-conditioning systems.

Woven City AI Vision Engine

The Woven City AI Vision Engine analyses large volumes of video footage to better understand how people and different forms of mobility behave. This could help improve safety, security and comfort across cities.

 

Woven City Integrated ANZEN

Integrated ANZEN connects people, vehicles and infrastructure to improve safety. It can identify potential risks and help systems such as traffic signals and vehicles respond more effectively, supporting Toyota’s vision of safer, more connected transport.

Woven City Data Fabric

Data Fabric provides a secure way to manage and share personal data. Users can control how their information is used, while anonymised data can help improve services such as traffic management and mobility.

Woven City Infra Hub

Infra Hub brings together data from people, vehicles, robots and infrastructure, allowing different systems to work together more seamlessly across the city.

 

Woven City xEV-VPP

Toyota’s xEV-VPP uses parked EVs as large-scale batteries. Stored energy can help support renewable energy, reduce emissions and provide emergency power. A 50-BEV trial is currently being conducted at Woven City.

 

Woven City Robot Platform

The Robot Platform helps developers create and test robotics systems more quickly. It combines simulation, hardware and infrastructure integration, allowing ideas to be tested in the real world and continuously improved.

 

Woven City Digital Kaizen Platform

The Digital Kaizen Platform uses data and digital simulations to test and improve solutions before they are introduced in the real world. It aims to make continuous improvement across manufacturing, logistics and mobility faster and more efficient.
